Re: Our big vision - a question
Agree that GGP's strategy certainly does not rule out further acquisitions - but if this comes about - I'm sure they will be very disciplined. As for streamlining Telfer - not sure that SD will be working that problem himself - he has plenty of very capable folks who know what they're doing - it's a...

Re: Our big vision - a question
Hi TheDoors. Not sure that SD is going to set the company strategy to achieve goals which are comparitive to other companies. If I were him, I certain;ly wouldn't do that as I have no idea what the other companies have up their sleeves and cannot control what they do . Also, in the gold mining busin...

<t>Yes, they are.

As already stated below, I also am not expecting dividends for another few years as SD has already said that he wants to disappoint the banks who are prepared to loan the Havieron Capex.

But.....he has also said the he is a "dividends type of guy".

...

Re: Did GGP just close the Greatest gold deal in history?!? 💥💥
SD has stated he wants to list on the ASX BEFORE consolidation, also just because you have a consolidation down of your shares does not always mean the reverse on dividends. Hi Lennie - I'm not sure I recall SD ever saying that consolidation would come after ASX - are you able to provide a referenc...

Re: Did GGP just close the Greatest gold deal in history?!? 💥💥
So the reason that consolidation is spoken about is twofold: 1. The ASX apparently has a rule which required shares to be aroun 11-12p (equivalent). We are clearly not there at the moment and could be a limitation to cross-listing on the ASX which would naturally bring more investtment/demand and (h...

Hi Poniexpress. I searched for the quote "Sources say Newmont is unlikely to return the mill" and this is what Google responded.

In my mind, Bing has found a quote from The Australian from early this year so they were referring to end of January 24.ATB RA

Re: What’s next? - GGP instant cash and 700koz-900koz producer
Not convinced that there will be a raise on ASX. SD has a revolving credit of (I think) $750M which he can use for the development of Hav. As for owning 100,000 shares of a $1Bn company versus a $5Bn company, It all depends on the SP which of course is derived from the number of shares in issue. Loo...

What would you do next? If you were Shaun Day
Yep, the SP has dropped. Yep, you're holdings are worth less than they were last week - so are mine. But look forward to what's to come and play a game of "What's in a Day " Just imagine that you are SD, it's Friday the first of November and the deal has finally been completed. 13Bn shares...

Re: Can someone explain the significance of the 4.8p offer?
My immediate reaction to the 4.8p raise was not very good - why do they (IIs) get the opportunity to buy at knock down prices? But as someone else has said, it's not a real number. 4.8p enables anyone stumping up that sort of cash to get a good return.....risk/reward. Also, it gives NEM the opportun...

Re: ActusRay short position - looks in trouble..IMO
Not wanting to reply on behalf of Hydro, but I suspect he was not suggesting that Actus Ray were closing.....but, that in order to close, they would likely lift the SP to a point greater than they bought. Feels like folks have hunkered down and not looking to trade which clearly impacts liquidity an...

Hi Ian If you are logged in under a username and refresh the home page. Those topics with unread posts are shown with red circles by them. Alternatively, if you click on the three horizontal bar icon on the right of the home page half way down, and then on new posts, then that will also show you the...

Hi Masham.
Hydro's posts are still around. They have been moved to the "Gold, Silver and Copper" area.

Re: New Newmont strategy
Hi Hydro I think it's as simple as looking through the inventory of assets and determining how they were going to make their $2Bn. As for Telfer, the empirical data shows that there is no absolute guarantee that they will ever work the plant at 100% capacity again, therefore it will (in their minds)...

Re: Decline progress
Hi Emc When I first started the graph, I simply calculated the decline length as 2800M (ie 400M vertical at a decline of 1 in 7) It then became evident that the regular reports were including ancillary cuts such as passing bays and any necessary side cuts. I think it was Bamps who put me onto the pa...

Hi Mremc2 Nope, not at the town hall but did read all the reports from the various attendees so am aware that SD is predicting completion of the decline in the Jun quarter - ie Apr to Jun.
