Re: Liam
Liam is great. He is in the category of 'trend setter' in my book. He has tackled the idea of setting up a community and communication link between shareholders and from them to management. Critics are those who never put their heads above the parapet. I absolutely despise them and their negativity....

Re: Why it's Essential for all PIs TO VOTE... Now
The mighty mush clan has now cast all votes in favour of the resolutions. There had been a handful in Halifax accounts but even these have been swept up and used in the vote. Power to the People!

Re: Short Selling Notifications
I believe so CK but it may still be worth their while paying for the loan in case they are needed. A small loss on interest could be chicken feed matched up against the profit made on main deployment. Heck, I dont know. Just find it perplexing and frustrating.

Re: Short Selling Notifications
I must admit I fail to understand how this happens unless the shares were borrowed but not sold. In which case, why are so many shares being sold in such massive 100k 250k etc batches when it isn't shorters? Why would any 'investor feel the motivation to sell these shares with such vigour? I really ...

How odd. A glitch? A change of heart? I don't think the shares were deployed last week into the market so who knows?

Re: Ortex, whats the score?
What in God's name were they doing or intending to do with these borrowed shares??
Is it really a case of them deciding they dont need them for more shorting now so they simply paid a few quid interest and handed them back??

I was somewhat surprised to hear that the euro rules prevented the issue to retail investors. We are out of the EU now aren't we??

Re: FUDsters/Shorters
:P Hi LA. I love analogies as you know and your use of the Monopoly board is excellent. It appears to me, to continue the analogy theme further, that there are three main routes for information on this share: This is HQ, where more sober analysis can be made and also a refuge for LSE emigrants who w...

Re: FUDsters/Shorters
As is ever the case on the modern social media platforms, someone registers with a username like 'freespeech' who then criticizes someone else's free speech. I thoroughly enjoy hydrogen's passionate posts reminding us what sly agenda is being played 'out there', juxtaposed and contrasting vividly ag...

Re: If you had to say...
So I'm wondering, following yesterday's surprise announcement, if members have altered their thinking on this question? I just can't square up in my mind why shorters have been accumulating so many borrowed shares, (much of it still 'under the radar'), if there wasnt some major reason we are not see...

Re: Massive BHP takeover news…. Rejected
Nice spot LA. 'Derivative instruments'. Is that a fancy way of saying 'slimey, underhand and under the radar' purchases'?? Glad they got the bid rejected and yes, it does make you wonder what 'derivative instruments' are being employed to manipulate our share.

Liam, The internet, when it was first donated to the world, was considered to be a good thing and a massive leap for humanity. It is on par with space travel. Sadly, the availability of instant messaging has also introduced us to the dark side of human nature and provided an anonymous outlet for neg...

Re: If you had to say...
Very interesting replies so far. Havieron...that's the very bright jewel in the crown. A separate entity within the GGP portfolio that, thus far, seems unbeatable. But what if we get another strike elsewhere? All bets are then off. Fascinating stuff.

If you had to say...
Ok...you can't sit on the fence here. What do you think the chances are that GGP will a) receive a bid for it's remaining share of Havieron and b) a takeover bid, within two years? My guess is an 80% chance for (a) and 25% chance for (b). The first chance is higher of the two imo because it is neate...

Another very positive interview and bodes well for the 5% offer coming in next month (iirc?). An updated MRE from Newcrest would also be very nice, especially if it aligns with the figure mentioned in this interview!

Icon for website tab
Guys, I tend to leave several open tabs when browsing with the laptop. Other sites have small symbols that appear on the tab (eg LSE has a grey and blue pyramid). Could you also add something unique for quick recognition?

I was searching on the site to see if there was an RNS section. I haven't found one so perhaps we should discuss this morning's content here?

Re: Troll Rebuttal Archive
I must admit that I have yet to read one negative point about GGP that has any value whatsoever and therefore none should need addressing in this forum. Positive discussions about the prospects of the company are the ones I favour. More akin to, " Right we know we are going to win the league, l...
