Interested in his words, 'We have a 8.3 million ounce resource' while talking about GGP. ;)

Re: Welcome to 'Goldilocks' for Gold.. 🔥

It's always nice to think about the fact that every additional dollar in the price of cold is pure profit for GGP. The total works cost per ounce for was already low. I wondered how much that cost has changed with recent and ongoing inflation in mining, ore transportation and milling costs.

Good, balanced assessment, Hydro, thanks.

Greatland/Shaun have been really quiet recently - keeping it all 'close to the chest'. Oh, to be a fly on the wall!

Re: Tailings Dams

Is this unusually heavy rain for this time of year? I had assumed the enclosed aquifer we are dewatering at Havieron was archaic water. I don't know if Havieron is experiencing the same heavy weather, but can I assume the heavy rain we are experiencing will not affect the volume in that aquifer in t...

Re: Newmont and Telfer (with Havieron)

You never know quite what goes on behind closed doors... Mulling things over (and In hindsight and perhaps overthinking!?), I'm beginning to wonder if last year's sudden postponment of the ASX listing was related to some 'grapevine ' indications that there was to be a buyout of Newcrest by Newmont, ...

Re: Tailings Dams

Thanks, Bamps. If they have been working in that 'wet' area to fill the crack they have probably created lower levels than the rest of the ailings and any inflows would tend to move to fill that area with water/solids to level it all up. Could just be adding water to pressure test the repair? IMG_64...

Re: JPM - Short finally closing..? Only 60m to go

Only because... 1) SD was adamant that the MRE report was solely down to GGP. 2) he seemed a touch annoyed at the question. 3) release has been left so late in the December quarter. .... I have the feeling that Newmont is looking closely at us. J I agree CK. The question is, who it will be who makes...

Bamps: Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate a lot of 1 to 1 goes on so it is difficult to pull snippets out. However some of the points you mention are interesting; some close down the thought processes but others only open up more areas of mental speculation - especially as the ov...

Re: 21st September LSE Town Hall with Greatland Gold’s Shaun Day

It is possible an RNS will be published before the meeting date. Hi Spondy - I am hoping that Shaun is cognisant that he cannot release market sensitive information before an RNS is released, BUT maybe just maybe he has cottoned on to “subtle signals” - I hope so and will be delighted if this proves...

Re: Newmont and Telfer (with Havieron)

Thanks for that - I was just looking for possible gremlins! J jecsggp. As the ore is taken out of Havieron, it will not be split down into GGP ore and NCM/NEM ore.....it will be JV owned ore. It will then be transported to Telfer and processed there with the costs being borne by the JV in proportion...

Re: Newcrest Leftovers Don’t Appeal to Australia’s Top Gold Miners - Bloomberg

The gold is there so I see this as positive. If there are fewer buyers interested the price paid will reflect it... 'supply and demand'. J Australia’s soon-to-be top two gold miners say they’re not interested in buying two operations predicted to be put up for sale by Newmont Corp. after its $19 bil...
