Re: Berenberg cuts Greatland Gold

Presumably cut only because of the latest changes in gold price Do Berenberg publish their calculations / notes for this figure? And if so has anyone got access to them? I had a quick look under the references section on this board and there are a couple of comments mentioning the price update. Obvi...

Re: Telfer

Aware of this, but just wondered how long it would keep running without Havieron ore. Mothballing/restarting have their own costs. Telfer life extended around this time last year for a couple of years with a nod to the Havieron Ore coming on line. https://www.newcrest.com/sites/default/files/2021-08...

Telfer

How long can Telfer run efficiently without feed from Havieron? Hi paddy. You say we have longer to wait for a 20mill RNS. With the present rate of exploration drilling how long do you think we have to wait? ATB Speedy Hi Speedy, we looking at roughly 12 months before the decline gets down to the ba...

Re: Determination of the 5% of Havieron

Hindsight is a wonderful thing - I'm sure Newcrest thought they would have a much better estimate of the whole resource by their orignal 5% date. Rotherby...Just think it is always better to make a decision than not. I agree wholeheartedly with all the points in your post. Not sure why you think I b...

Re: Determination of the 5% of Havieron

Rotherby...Just think it is always better to make a decision than not. I agree wholeheartedly with all the points in your post. Not sure why you think I believe otherwise? Short-term is not something we should associate with Greatland. Real profits will be in seveal years time. I've been in for four...

Re: Determination of the 5% of Havieron

This is really just to get things sorted in my head....Can someone explain what the 'value' of Havieron is when we don't yet know the 'extent'. When they made the original contract did they think they would know the size/extent by now? Is that caveated anwhere in the original agreement? What is the ...

Re: Van Eck

However, it was only a week after they dropped from 5.8% to 4.95% and it is still only at 5% on the latest. Probably moves a lot anyway - just happened to move a bit around the point where they need to report the change.

Re: The SP drop.......

IMO there a lots of people watching (especially stock managers) and waiting for the 1) 5% decision, 2) Newcrest to declare a mine and/or 3) first gold aout to come out of the ground, before they commit to buy in. Don't know which of these will instigate the 'short closures' and 'buying' but when it ...

Agree and IMO it is the lower infrastructure costs that are fundamental to this being a big earner for the longer term. :)

Re: How did you hear about #GGP

Saw the notification of the results of that first deep Havieron drill - haven't changed my mind since! :). With a bit of trading subsequently, I'm in at zero share cost.
