Voting cut off date

Post by OilMonkey »

I've been trying to cast my votes for shares held in my Bestinvest ISA and SIPP accounts and received the following correspondence this morning...

"Our custodian have notified us that the cut-off date for nominee holdings to vote was 23/09/22 so we are awaiting confirmation of if the votes have been able to be cast or not."

This doesn't seem right as the GM RNS was only released on 20/9/22 and states proxy votes need to be received by 0930 BST 5/10/22.

Has anyone else has similar correspondence from their broker?

I’ve had no response from HL on my account in the secure messages section, which is concerning.
“Aww gee lady, I just came here to drill” “Oh! So did I!!” :D

I stand corrected, below received form HL with names redacted.... :)

"If you have submitted a voting request please treat this message as confirmation that your instruction has been received and will be cast in advance of the meeting.

Thank you for your enquiry and please accept my apologies for the delayed response.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Kind regards"

I'm with Charles Stanley Direct. Sent my message yesterday, admittedly late. Had a response this morning saying I should vote 6 days prior to the meeting. When's the actual deadline?

Cheers,

James
