17/09/22 - Paterson East Tama

Post by strudel »

Catching up with Tama activities - it's a target in the odd "thin drip" off the north-west tip of the Paterson east tenement. The tenement itself covers 224 sq km (Havieron is 38 sq km...., approx 6km by 6km), the thin drip is about 1.5kmm wide.
Paterson East 224 sq km overview - Anon.jpg
The most westerly cleared spot was for the field camp which is just within the edge of the tenement - with a cluster of three pads and a fourth further east visible. All set for action by the 17th Sept.

The field camp and first drill was in position on the 22nd Sept, just about discernible between wisps of cloud.

27th Sept - all sorts of ground activity visible - including probable traffic on the link track.

Cloud wreaked havoc 5 days later on the 2nd Oct...

....so the next update was the 7th October where the drill looks to be on the most westerly pad.

And below is an indication of the "thin drip" that forms this end of the tenement... although we are still 500m inside the boundary with the most easterly drill pad.

Thanks Strudel.
You mentioned that the east drill is 600m from the others.
It’s in a magnetic low similar to A9

Tama though is a supergene target as is Winu.
This is where either water or gases have depleted the minerals from a layer and deposited lower down on an impervious layer.
Winu also has a hypergene deposit underneath the supergene where hot liquids or gas has brought minerals upwards trapped under the supergene layer

MFU

I believe you are correct in saying the Tama drill is part of the NC JV - so if each hole costs $150,000 to drill (roughly, SD figure) then NC are funding exploration in "the drip" to the tune of half a million dollars.

It sure is great watching other people spend lots of money on our behalf.

They spent nearly a similar amount within this Paterson East tenement at the A9 target a few weeks ago.
