The copper price is reaching its 12 month high.

Havieron 3mt pa @0.6% should produce around 39,683,000lbs of copper
That would give Ggp if they have 100% $163m copper revenues per year.
If the gold pays for everything then the copper revenues are all profit.

The all time high of $4.88/lb would give $193m

What it is is 25% copper - by cash and a huge amount by Volume. Havieron is a big ass copper mine but with lots of gold...

Copper on cusp of a very big move now. With the global industrial recession that we experienced last 2-3 quarters one would have thought copper would have gone back to the high 2s but 3.7 was more less the low.

What’s going on in the copper market is fascinating…. In China

Copper prices are going up because smelting prices have collapsed (signalling a shortage in copper concentrate supplies) the two have an inverse correlation. It’s got that bad some refiners are smelting at loss

This is a situation that looks quite ‘structural’ in nature. China is worried about supply ; which explains why the Chinese are buying up any copper mine or good copper project available globally. (Especially Africa)

But soon enough the copper shorts will be squeezed and pretty big move north taking copper into higb 4s or 5s should unfold.
