The Perfect Strategy?

Post by DipSard »

I think pondering more on how they’ve set up the deal, in many ways an absolutely fantastic deal from their perspective as the team have set GGP up quickly for future regional dominance with a very very decent price tag and this is true for us too.

And even better for the company and Wyloo, they also develop a more stable shareholder base by issuing these shares and gaining II dominance vs less stable and unpredictable retail shareholders that you can’t win over and mobilise collectively easily - usually the way as things get more complex as the company grows in both size and assets to manage.

A good way to secure their participation is focusing more of the debt funding on Hav development instead of on the acquisition of both assets - thereby minimising future dilution for development of Havieron to them as part of the sell-in.

LTH are absorbing the pain right now, not really Wyloo or the new entrants inc. the II’s especially and again their future pain of more dilution is minimised (alongside ours) for Havieron development as part of the combined sell-in for all parties. He’ll focus on this a lot with us I imagine at TH etc.

It’s a genius play by GGP to get everything they want in one move, all the assets and interests in a mining company they can easier control with a more stable shareholder base moving forward.

Especially painful for PI’s with higher averages unfortunately of course, but I’m beginning to understand this better now with a bit of time to absorb.

I don’t think it’s screwing us over as such, more so ‘it’s just business’ and from a strategy POV, it’s actually perfect and indicative of how damn smooth this team is.

It is now clear while a lot of people have been moaning the lack of action from the BOD, activity has been I would suspect nearly at the frantic stage, the documentation we see has taken a lot of time to put together, and all the different parts of the deal must have used a digital Forest.

Dip, I like your analysis, lets hope there are no disasters on the way, we are from the start of GGP(2) a very substantial business, we have money in the bank and are a revenue generator, I would like to see a bit more on the cashflows for the next 3 years, but this may come.

I think we should congratulate the BOD on the work done to date, and look forward to true recovery of the share price over the next 3 years, I would hope that early 2025 we will be back to the 7 to 10p range, an onwards and upwards from there.

Best of luck everyone.

Hi Rotherby, hope you're well mate :-)

I just posted the below on LSE after reading through the new Investor Slides as this is the Business Case for the deal and summarises the Corporate Strategy for the next few years, so exactly what I wanted to understand at the next Town Hall or webinar directly from Shaun vs inferring my own assumptions.

Congratulations to Shaun and the team - they've managed a very rare and huge accomplishment and the company will no doubt go from strength to strength.

************
Just having gone through the slides with a strong cup of coffee - I have to say very pleased with the rationale presented for the deal despite the structure giving us retail LTH a bit of a kick in the proverbial.

Rationale is amusingly the phrase I was using for business case for transaction earlier this week - myself and Shaun must have read the same text books, but the business case is IMO hugely compelling for investment and that is why Wyloo is here after all.

The job now for the team from our perspective alongside executing aforesaid strategy is marketing the company to drive investor interest and help grow that mCap so that the cake that's been sliced up into more slices increases in overall size - so that each of our slices is worth more i.e Shareholder Value in time. And that is the key for many I guess - how much time?

Once they get the keys - it's GO time, results not words will become the measuring stick so Good Luck Shaun and co. - show us what you're made of now!
