US Inflation Hits 9.1% in June

The US Consumer Price index jumped 1.3% in June, compared to the 1% increase in May! Staggering, but, as usual, the pointless economists got it wrong, yet again!
Compared to one year ago, the index in June hit 9.1%, rising from the 8.6% year-on-year increase the month before — staying at the fastest pace in 40 years!
One consolation, I suppose, is that the price of gold is up just over 1% to $1745, having fallen to $1707 earlier today.
