A couple of years ago, I read an article in Australian Mining about a electrification system being developed by Bluvein which had secured funding from Newcrest and Northern Star amongst others.
To a layman like me, the system seems highly practical but after emailing them and Newcrest to seek more info about the development, I received no replies from either but it appears the development is still ongoing.
