Re: Expectations from NCMs MRE

In terms of the drilling data and cut off points for the MRE it would look very difficult for Newcrest to come in lower than GGP's 3 March 2022 6.5M oz gold equivalent I believe though it's quite possible that NCM will continue to have a strong leaning to inferred resources. It's interesting to note...

Re: Writing Competition: "My Outlook for Greatland (Buy, Sell or Hold)?"

What has Greatland ever done for shareholders? Well, having read what some shareholders have to say on share chat forums you might be excused for thinking: “not a lot”! But it’s worth taking a closer look at where Greatland has come from and then you will get a far clearer picture of what a great s...

Re: Massive BHP takeover news…. Rejected

This sentence grabbed my attention for obvious reasons:

"The Board (of OZ minerals) had also been advised by BHP that it had accumulated an interest in OZ Minerals shares via derivative instruments amounting to an interest of less than 5 per cent".

Re: Liam ....Bottle Rocket...

Mushroom, aka the wordsmith, has said it all so eloquently. So Liam you will recall why you set this place up - to get away from the sniping, trolling and in-fighting that exists on LSE. This venture has been a success - 100%. Whether it was telegram that finally put you over the edge I do not know ...

Hi Costa

Also, as Shaun said this morning at D&D Forum:

...."if you look at the observed multiples over time, they typically trend higher or trade higher multiples here in Australia so there's an opportunity to benefit from that arbitrage".

Re: REMINDER - Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum

So there you have it from the mouth of Shaun Day: "... with our operating assets here in Australia it's a great opportunity to build our profile here and what's more it's worth me sharing that we are presently reviewing the opportunity to undertake an ASX cross listing. I think for us we celebr...

Re: Expectations from NCMs MRE

Hi RA I hope you are right that Newcrest honour their statement of using drill data up to June for the updated MRE. But once bitten and all that.......using 8 month old drilling data for the PFS left a bad taste and I would not put it past them to do it again. I think it's worth just pausing on the ...

Re: Expectations from NCMs MRE

Rational Assessor - a good post, thank you. For me one question to be answered is whether Newcrest will be cautious as to ounces in their next MRE update because of the data cut off point. The 12 October PFS drilling cut off date was February 2021, a full 8 months earlier. Now if we get another MRE ...

Re: REMINDER - Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum

Shaun Day, right up front in his talk, was again talking of an ASX cross listing. "Better multiples than London". A year ago he was less keen but we've heard his frustration with the SP before and looks like he might be ready to see what the Aussie market thinks of Greatland. Two markets a...

Re: Circular Firing squad... initiated.

IMO the shorts are trying to Tempt out sellers.. No question, the fundamentals have now moved against them... And no $11m crash for the 5%. So 72m to buy back... good luck with that.. ...and with the likes of large Sprott and GDXJ buys their job is made doubly difficult. Game well and truly back on.

I am surprised at the relative lack of chat on the forum considering the high number of releases of new information we had from Greatland yesterday. Not everyone is on holiday surely.

Re: 5%

So the 5% is valued at £50,000,000.00, which is the value of Newcrest's loan to GGP. Do we know how much of that loan has been drawn down? I don't think all of it has but I can't find a figure. Q From GGP's interim results RNS dated 21 March 2022: The Group has recognised a foreign exchange loss of...

Apologies Lebugue-addick. Didn't realise you'd already posted this. Not sure how I missed it as currently sober - must be the nerves, terror, optimism, excitement or all of them. Hi Stebol - no worries, perhaps Liam can merge the 2 threads to tidy up. Good luck for drill results tonight and let's h...

Hi Bamps - yes indeed. I was replying to Gratitude's post earlier as I think he was getting Conversion rates and Recovery rates confused when he was looking at Zoros' post @11.27am. In terms of recoveries this extract from 3 March MRE RNS is relevant: "The gold equivalent (AuEq) is based on ass...
