GDXJ Rebalance - Friday, 16 December 2022
If anyone can make 'head nor tail' of today's GDXJ fund rebalance, do share. However, the way over the last couple of days the price to buy shares has been almost the bid price or not far off it, to make it look like they're mainly SELLS instead of BUYS, including today, it's hard to gauge whether the GDXJ fund is buying or selling in the main. I look forward to others comments, and have a good weekend everyone.

If you look at the thread - https://www.ggpchat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=619 it was calculated that around 25 Million would need to be bought for the rebalance.
However, the GDXJ fund reduced by around $0.2 Billion since the rebalance was announced and the above calculated. This meant that a lesser amount were required.
So to answer your question it was definitely a buy.
Quite surprised they managed to pick them up so cheap, but somebody was obviously prepared to sell. We may or may not find out who next week, although I suspect we will.
