Looks like the 2023 campaign is underway at Scallywag - There are a couple of new clearances at Pearl and I've spotted activity on the pads at A35 too.

Hopefully drilling is underway at PDD003 with this activity
Nearly 10 days now of possible drilling at/ near PDD003 that could be 250m deep.
Through the silver 1300g/t at 76m
and on down to the 1m @0.76 g/t.

Interestingly, the high copper-silver assay interval comes from the final recovered sample before drilling conditions forced mud-rotary drilling. The poor drilling conditions are likely due to a significant structure being intersected in the hole. From the assay results at the top of the structure it is likely that this large structure is mineralised. Mineralised shear zones are hosts to many ore bodies in Australia and globally. Greatland is intending to re-drill at least part of the unsampled hole interval during its 2023 program. This will enable the Company to complete the geological picture and more fully understand the highly encouraging metal values in the PXRF reading and lab assays.“
That mud rotary zone is what they’re targeting.
A mineralised shear zone the high silver grades are above it and go down into it.

They must be through it by now if they’re drilling and down to test the target .

A35 Prospect
At the A35 Prospect, three RC pre-collars were drilled to target the deep interpreted EM conductor plates. Assay results for A35RD001 returned a significant gold intersection of 12m @ 0.48g/t Au from 69m, including 2m @ 2.04g/t Au from 70m, in the weathered profile, with associated geochemical pathfinder element anomalism (see Table 2). It must be noted that the hole was also affected by water inflows and the majority of samples from the mineralised zone from around 68m to 86m downhole were wet or moist and there was potentially downhole smearing of the high gold grades. No sample was able to be recovered from the 72 - 73m interval.
The results are highly encouraging as the gold and base metal anomalism may represent a supergene enrichment of primary mineralisation at depth, potentially around the untested EM plate target, and the water inflows may indicate a significant geological structure, also promising for transporting and focusing gold-copper mineralising fluids.“
This has been found while rotary drilling to insert the collar for future diamond drilling, so it never reached the intended target but found another shear structure as in PDD003 with a supergene enrichment above it.

Reply was: "for me the A35 is the slightly more exciting one just because we did the pre-collar without real expectation that we would hit mineralisation.....so it's nice to be targeting the hole exactly where we intended and hit that mineralisation and be right above the target."
But as he concluded it's a bit like being asked which of your children you love the most!"

I’ve noted the drill numbering onto Paddy’s latest video.
Work is well underway at Scallywag, Pearl has been targeted since the 15th May and still at it.
Work is continuing on a pad north of PRD002 at the moment.
What appears to be a second rig at Swan SWRD 001, they could be going for the underside of that conductor A33b on the right.
You can see in that note they were planning this .
The fact they are still investigating Pearl must be good, they would have been gone from there if nothing was found.
If Stuart’s tweet about a drilling rig are at Scallywag then that’s good news with that piece of kit AT24 very high tech stuff aids with vectoring the drill bit to targets.
Regarding A35
They seem to be leaving the best to last
They still have the Swan conductor A33a and 2 drills at A34 before moving on to A35.

There are 2 levels of geology that can be seen on that section of SWRD001.
Firstly the cover sequence less than 50m deep down to the Proterozoic layer.
This next level has been weathered during the Proterozoic era and varies in depth.
This weathered depth has mineralised layers in it as has been mentioned in the results.
It’s not this though Ggp are after.
Those results looked fairly average not exciting, these weren’t the target conductors, these go into the basement rocks by the look of things and it’s these they’re after this time.
A lot of the historical drills were air core drills ,
half of which didn’t make the Proterozoic level, the others only reached part way into the weathered zone not finding much.
These drills were nearly all less than 80m deep even down by Kraken.
Ggp started and have been going deep in comparison 350-500m on average, they’re looking for basement conductors/structures it’s quite noticeable completely superior exploration.

It’s looks like they’re on SWRD004 today, that’s Swan west.
I can just make out the dark area to the south of that drill indicating the drill pond.
On the section it’s the blue EM conductor A33a on the left they’re targeting.
Looks like SWRD005 will be next targeting conductor A33b

According to Paddy’s satellite image they were working on SWRD 004 on the 14th and may have completed 001 while there was cloud cover, that was only a small extension to the existing drill hole I believe.
Also 005 is being prepared this is targeting the EM conductor A33b

Strudel seemed to think they may be still there last Sunday 13th Aug.
I’m suspecting they may move to Pascalle afterwards but nothing as yet.

You can see that blue line running through passed Swan, in Blackhills there is no cover but this anticline is plunging downward under Swan hidden by cover. They’ve got all that drill info to be able to model a cross section across this anticline and together with th the MT survey will produce a model of the basement geology hopefully locating another Telfer.

This round of drilling has provided a line of geological observations across the prospective Black Hills Anticline (Figure 2) after it plunges under cover to the south. The development of a two dimensional section across the anticline is in progress, which when combined with the final MT survey results will inform a broader three dimensional bedrock geology model of the Scallywag area including structure.
The objective of this work is to identify the prospective Telfer Member (which is not geophysically detectable) where it lies within structural traps under shallow to moderate cover. Any resultant blind Telfer-style ore body targets along with any confirmed MT conductors will be targeted for drilling.”
They’re still confident of finding a Telfer type ore body hiding deep down in Scallywag.

Interesting that Paddy recently has observed activity at Scallywag. It would be interesting to see latest developments in relation to the MT survey and the resulting modelling of the geological model of the Scallywag area/structure. Hopefully we may be able to receive some communication before 2024 year end as little has been reported in 2024.

Interesting that Paddy recently has observed activity at Scallywag. It would be interesting to see latest developments in relation to the MT survey and the resulting modelling of the geological model of the Scallywag area/structure. Hopefully we may be able to receive some communication before 2024 year end as little has been reported in 2024.
