Short Covering - Yes/NO ?

Noticed a single 5m trade today about 3pm, checked it about 30 minutes later and there was a 7m trade alongside it. 6.45p so mid price.


Another 3 x 5m trades appeared after 4pm. Closing volume was 26m, which once settled lifted to 42m.


There are a few random 1m trades across the day, which I ignored.


All of these chunkier trades were at the 6.45p mid price, all 27,000,000 of them. Just when we could do with the Ortex data, our gracious sharer of it has left.


Short covering yes or no ?
