Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
My mate says the 14 day requirement is complete. He was flat out and I couldn’t ask anything else but that’s the important part I guess
Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
A big thanks Shiny, lets hope an RNS to confirm real soooooon

Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
If and I have good reason to believe from Shiny Bits the 14 days are over, then the backroom boys have had an expected period to complete the paperwork that is part of the transaction.
The only thing left is any permissions that are still required (if any) as there was an expectation expressed by SD at the TH meeting that 1st November could be the day, this now looks very likely.
Hopefully there will be an RNS on Friday, once confirmed let us hope that any games on the Stock Market will quickly become history.
I think that there will be more Minor Gold Miners (Owning a minor bit of a gold mine) in the UK maybe that ever before.
GLA looking forward to a great future.

Agree Rotherby good post. If completion cannot take place 1st November I wonder if Shaun will update on progress of outstanding conditions by Friday given it was an initial target date ?

Let's hope the full ownership and the ASX listing give us a level playing field where the fundamentals are more appropriately attributed to the SP.
Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
Massive thanks to Shinybits for sharing - even if your mate is not right, you are just sharing what you believe to be true as I do not think you are working on any other agenda than to just see GGP succeed - VGLA!!

Totally agree Redirons. Shiny is top guy with top info.
Let's hope for a bit of a SP turnaround after Friday. If not though, it will come when it will come.

Another reason to believe that the mill has been working correctly for 14 consecutive is that if it hadn't then we probably would have heard about it through other channels.
On the topic of RNSs, does anybody recall one being released on a Friday, or a Monday?
They always seem to arrive mid week.

Hi Spondy
I think the latest update confirming some of the conditions being ticked off came a week last Monday

Thanks MFU. Good recall.
Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
Spondy you got me thinking so I have checked both day and times.
This year to date this is the distribution of days when RNS's have been issued, in 2024, where 2 have been on the same day I have only recorded it once so as not to distort.
Monday 4
Tuesday 2
Wednesday 6
Thursday 5
Friday 2
3pm is about the latest time of issue (the exception to this was the day of the retail offer).
From this I think they come as and when required, so hopefully today or in the next two working days, the movement of the SP seems to indicate others expect the announcement is imminent.

There was an outstanding foreign investor approval for Newmont, Greatland was approved.
Has anyone heard if Newmont has yet gained that approval?

Some whopping volume again.
Big Institutional moves it seems - a 14m £1.5 trade and various 6m and 3m and loads of 1-2m trades going through today...
GGP fact of the day: by 4p today 118m traded in 444 trades, meaning the average trade was for circa 270k shares costing a whopping £17,500
I reckon IF GDX buys they will need to buy some $60-$70m worth.. (which is about 580m shares at 9p )
can't wait for that one.... but they don't announce until after the trade so it could easily be them starting off
Sellers could get trounced here

Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
I've not seen any news on that (Newmont approval), but it does not seem to make any sense for them to approve GGP, from the UK as a buyer and then refuse the owner permission to sell, the result could be Newmont say Ok we will close it all down with the loss of jobs.
I cannot see the Newmont permission being refused, for the above reason and their other on going investments in Australia being good for the economy.

Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) approval: Greatland has been granted foreign investment approval by the Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia for the Acquisition. Newmont has submitted its own approval application which remains pending.
Ministerial consent to tenement transfers: Consent has been granted by the Western Australia Minister for Mines and Petroleum to the transfer of relevant mining tenements pursuant to the Acquisition.
Telfer environmental licence renewal: The Telfer Part V licence issued under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (WA) has been renewed for a period of 10 years.
Greatland shareholder approval: On 30 September 2024, Greatland shareholders voted to overwhelmingly approve the Acquisition and associated equity raising, with 99.75% of votes cast being in favour.
As announced by the Company on 26 September 2024, significant progress has also been towards the satisfaction of the conditions precedent relating to Telfer Tailings Storage Facility 8.
Completion of the Acquisition remains subject to satisfaction (or, where applicable, waiver) of the remaining conditions described in the Admission Document, and continues to be targeted in Q4 2024. The Company will provide further updates as appropriate.

IMO The public release of the latest corporate presentation shows confidence in the deal being imminent.

Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
I think firstly that all the hurdles were checked out prior to the deal and therefore this stage is really a formality, and as we know formalities take time.
Should anything that would stop the deal from proceeding, if they could not mitigate, they would have to release the information to the market, so as of today that is not the case.
The RNS we are all awaiting could drop any morning UK, and up to about 22:00 WA time, so about 2pm London.

Re: Our Expectations now we are a Tier 1 Miner
The presentation this morning provided a high level plan towards production.
So far as progress towards closure of the the acquisition it seems that outstanding issues are progressing as hoped. The two tailings storage facilites (tsf) have been worked upon, number 8 is complete and number 7 being renovated.
The presentation indicated that the tsf 8 had ample capacity for both Telfer and Havieron in the event tsf 7 was not available.
I've taken advantage of the lower share price this morning, a decision I expect to benefit my portfolio during the next 3 years.
